Σαλαθιήλ, ὁ (שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵל) indecl. (LXX; ViZech 3 [p. 88, 6 Sch].—Jos., Ant. 11, 73 Σαλαθίηλος) Shealtiel, Salathiel, father of Zerubbabel (1 Ch 3:19; 2 Esdr 3:2; 5:2; 22:1; Hg 1:1); in the genealogy of Jesus Mt 1:12 he is a son of Jechoniah (1 Ch 3:17), in Lk 3:27 a son of Neri.
